Is Millhouse part of the 'boxing fraternity' then?

Anyone that rates Fraudley Harrison is a cunt. Cant take your opinion on boxing seriously after that.

Ali not a top 3 heavyweight.....

King in a poor era.....

Wouldn't beat Holyfield.....

Some people on here have truly embarrassed themselves.

As for losing 3 of his last 4 fights. The bloke was fucking disabled!

ring smarts only gets you so far when the other guy is as skilful as you and both faster and more powerful

Different training techniques and modern science would mean that what talent Ali had then, would be even better was he around now

It's common sense, something you don't have LMA

Jones I completely agree on. Mayweather I don't, in terms of ring smarts Id bung him right up at the top and reckon he`d expose Robinson`s front foot technique

I also believe a prime Pele would fail in comparison with Messi as would Bjorg up against Federer, shove that up your arse the "everything was better back in the day" brigade

Robinson would beat Jones at MW and Mayweather and welter

Ali was the best heavyweight I have seen, even above Joe Louis, in my opinion

watch that link on Ali i put up earlier. He could defend himself without even raising his fists because he was so quick. Amazing skill and speed.

Bullshit and what everyone forgets is that when he was in his prime he wasn't allowed to box

He was the most despised fighter that ever lived, jailed because of the colour of his skin and forced to fight into his mid 50`s because of it hence the poor CV towards the end

Fucking Idiot

You bring up Ali losing 3 out of his last 4 for being a reason not to include him, then suggest Johnson who lost 7 out of his last 9?

Fucking idiot.

That's absolute bollocks. As I've said, I wasn't around when he was boxing so it'll be difficult for me to judge.

For every list you reckon you've seen in the boxing fraternity that doesn't have him in the top 3 heavyweights, I've probably seen 10 lists from the likes of ESPN/The Ring/etc (people who know about the sport) that have him in the top 10 of all time.

Among the boxing fraternity Ali is not even rated as one of the top 3 Heavyweights. He is probably the most influential sportsman of all time but to compare someone who lost 3 of his last 4 fights to the likes of Leonard, Robinson & Mayweather is ridiculous

Sold0 and the rest of his collective love to wank off about how much better the sport was back in the day but the reality is this generation of the last 15 years has probably been treated to the most exciting (Jones Jr) & the greatest (Mayweather Jr) of all time

Eggbert Nobacon 3:19 Tue Sep 16

LMA talking on boxing threads is a bit like LMA talking on legal sex threads.

Pointless as he doesn't have a clue about either

Re: Mayweather Maidana 2
Why do most of those lists have Sugar Ray Robinson as number 1 then?

I'm guessing they might know a bit more about boxing than you, if you think that.
